Questão bem técnica, porém basta decorar as portas...
Porta_N (Porta nó) = Conecta porta nó com os fabric switches ou com outro porta nó.
Porta_F (Porta Fabric) = Conecta porta fabric (encontradas no switches) com a porta nó.
Porta_E (Porta Expansão) = Conecta 2 fabric switches.
Porta_G (Porta Genérica) = São encontradas no switches e são capazes de operar porta_E e porta_F.
Porta_B (Porta Bridge) = Conectam fabric switches com componentes NÃO fibre channel ou redes com LAN e WAN.
Porta_L (Porta Laço) = Portas F, G e N que tiverem interface com o laço arbitrado (referente a porta_L) serão chamados de porta_FL, porta_GL e porta_NL.
